About Alexander Valley
The Alexander Valley is a small, very special corner of Sonoma County and has been cultivated for wine grapes since 1846. Our 2016 Carignane comes from the northernmost end of this appellation in Oat Valley which is just outside Cloverdale, California. The vines are 60+ years old, and the vineyard is planted as a unique field blend that includes Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, and Grenache, all amongst the Carignane. Oat Valley is characterized by old vines, rich loam, and a climate that others ideal conditions for retaining lively acidity and extended flavor-building hang time.
