2007 Windsor Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast, Platinum Series, 750ml #53520100

Pinot Noir is a grape that loves cool-weather growing conditions, and the extreme Sonoma Coast, with it's persistent fog and marine influences, provides an ideal home for growing this grape.

Our 2007 vintage is 100% Pinot Noir, fermented in open top fermentation tanks, with daily punch downs to extract flavor and color. The wine was aged in 50% new and 50% used French oak to minimize oak tannin extraction. On the nose, you're treated to earthy aromas characteristic of the best Burgundy Pinot Noir, and dark cherry aromas; on the palate, you'll enjoy dark cherry flavors and silky smooth tannins.

This wine pleases all portions of the palate and finishes with a delicate spicy finish. An ideal wine to pair with grilled salmon, roasted turkey, herb-crusted pork tenderloin or baked brie.
