Pop A Cork!

with Sparkling

Why do we celebrate with sparkling?

It all started back in 18th Century France, where the beverage was favored by the Royal Court of King Louis XV. Champagne was popular among royalty and nobility, but was not affordable to the working class.

After the Industrial Revolution in the 19th Century, newly wealthy merchants, who could afford Champagne began ordering it for special occasions. Today we still associate sparkling wine made in the Méthode Champenoise style with celebrations like weddings and New Year's.
